"There is nothing more sorrowful than remembering, with bitter regret, a time when you were truly happy."
Hey Everybody! And Happy Memorial Day!

I hope all of you here in the U.S. of A. are paying homage to the honored dead and are enjoying your respective respites.
Well, in any case, I'm writing this journal because I had an idea.
In six days, this sunday, I shall be going off on an adventure to the Roger Williams Park Zoo in fine Providence Rhode Island.
This will be the 6th trip I have made to a zoological park this year alone. But going this time, I hit upon an idea.
An idea inspired by my good friend

So basically, I'm opening up the comment section on my journal here for you, yes you dear reader, to request a shot for me to take.
Here are the rules:
1. Go to the species listing at the RWPZ web site
[link] Or the digital zoo map
[link]2. Select the species you would like me to photograph for you, and then select two alternate species in case I am not able to accommodate your first request.
3. Leave a comment in this entry listing your three selected species in descending order of your desire.
And that's all!

So, look at the map, make your selection, leave your comment and I'll do my very best to accommodate you!
Take care everyone, enjoy your Memorial day and have a pleasant tomorrow!

harbour seal! (of course!)
anteater
golden lion tamarin
I'm just writing up the final list right now.
If not a binturong, then a red panda. Or a golden lion tamarin, if you manage to find one that can hold still for more than a femtosecond.
I'm going to the Oregon zoo next weekend, and I hope to get some good shots of the big cats, as well as the African hunting dogs.
I really hope I can get a binturong shot. I love those guys so much.
Enjoy your trip to the Oregon zoo! And take lots of pictures!
Thanks for participating, sir.
I'll try my darndest!
Anyway, anything you come up with will be great, I love your photography!
I'll try my darndest to get a snow leopard shot for you.
